Rev. Adam Colson

Pastor Adam Colson serves as Senior Pastor of The Lake of the Woods Church. In addition to preaching and teaching, his focus is to guide the church in “Knowing Christ, and Making Christ Known.” He has a heart for missions and outreach and seeing every member serving the Lord in some capacity.

Pastor Colson has been in ministry since 1996 and has been on staff as a pastor at The Lake of the Woods Church since 2006. He is an ordained Methodist Pastor. Before serving at The Lake of the Woods Church, Pastor Colson and his wife Johanna served as missionaries with Child Evangelism Fellowship. Adam graduated from New Brunswick Bible Institute, Trinity Bible College and Seminary, and Mater’s Divinity School.  Pastor Colson and Johanna have two adult children Christian, a middle school teacher who is married to Michaela Paxton Colson (our worship minister’s sister) and Arianna studying nursing in college. The Colsons also have a poodle, Annie, and a miniature lab, Sophia.

Pastor Colson is a ventriloquist and Gospel illusionist. He used to travel around New England doing Children’s Crusades in the 1990s. As former Mainers, the Colsons are New England Sports Fans. Pastor Colson also enjoys cooking, camping, and reading.
