Each Sunday morning, The Lake of the Woods Church offers a variety of Sunday School classes that will appeal to your interests, age group and your time schedule.

Children's Schedule

Children (K through 5th grade)
We offer classes for children at both the 9:45 and 11:00 worship service hours, and child care is available for infants thru pre-K. The 11:00 Sunday School hour includes rehearsal for children’s choir along with a quality time of Sunday School in the graded classes.

The 11:00 a.m. Sunday School hour includes rehearsal for children's choir along with a quality time of Sunday School in the graded classes.

 

Youth Schedule

Youth (6th through 12th grade)
Higher Grounds Coffee House meets in the lower level. Breakfast and conversation begin at 9:30. Musical worship starts at 9:45 followed by Bible teaching and discussion in small groups.

Youth then are encouraged to participate in the 11:00 a.m. Contemporary Worship in the Worship Center.

 

College and Career Class

Men and Women in the workplace and college are invited to this relaxed class of Bible discussion. It offers a way to form new relationships with others and a closer walk with Jesus Christ. This group also comes back together for shared suppers, Bible study and prayer on Tuesday nights.

Adult Class Schedule

8:30 a.m. Classes

The Bereans: The Bible tells how the people in the city of Berea searched the Bible to learn more about Jesus. In this group, you can do the same. Past topics have included Paul’s Letters, the Old Testament Tabernacle and a video Study of the Exodus from Egypt. Each session involves seeing how the Word applies to everyday life. Current topic is Paul's Letter to the Romans.

Gospel of Matthew: This class teaches us how to study the Bible by looking at the theme "Kingdom of Heaven." We find the Kingdom mentioned all the Gospels. What did Jesus say? What are its values, promises and hopes, for now and for the eternity to come. All are invited to this study and discussion.

9:45 a.m. Classes

The Reflectors: The teaching in this group will refresh our faith to better show Jesus Christ to others. Past study themes have been the Sermon on the Mount and a Survey of the Old Testament. The Old Testament study continues this summer. All are welcome.

Seeking Jesus First: This group focuses in on the pressures we face in our homes and the difference Jesus makes. Group discussions and outside social events for both learning and making new friends. Specially geared for those in their 20s, 30s and 40s. NOTE - This class is on summer break and resumes in the Fall.
